Only the first frame is converted, because JPG can't store animation.
Transparency gets a background
Transparent areas are filled with white, or with the color you choose in Options.
Prefer PNG for graphics

Some older apps, image viewers and upload forms don't support WEBP. Converting to JPG makes the image work everywhere.
Does the quality change?
Both formats are lossy, so the JPG is a fresh compression of the image. At quality 85 or higher it looks the same in practice.
Can I convert WEBP to PNG instead?
Yes. Choose PNG in the format menu next to your file, or open the image converter.
Do animated WEBP files work?
They convert, but only the first frame ends up in the JPG.
